Artificial Intelligence is developing at an exponential rate. AI systems already shape much of our lives and environments, but this is really just the beginning. Our lives, our world, our place within it, are about to be transformed in ways we can only begin to imagine. In this seminar, we will ask some questions about the nature and implications of these changes. The seminar is divided into two parts. The first is about the nature of AI. Here, we will ask what exactly AI is, and whether it is even possible. The second is about the ethics and politics of AI.
