Beschreibung |
|
This lecture course offers a systematic introduction to contemporary political philosophy. It comes in three parts. The first part explores fundamental values and principles, raising questions about the justification of democracy, the significance of liberty and the function of rights. The second part introduces concepts required to understand and assess the nature, impact and obligations of political actors and institutions, addressing questions of agency and responsibility, and discussing issues of race, class and gender. The third part explores current themes in normative political philosophy at the intersection with other social sciences, in particular economics, including debates on inequality, global justice and poverty, and international trade and finance. https://campusonline.uni-bayreuth.de/ubto/wbLv.wbShowLVDetail?pStpSpNr=301836&pSpracheNr=1 |
