Beschreibung |
|
This course offers a systematic introduction to contemporary political philosophy, combining lectures and seminars. It comes in three parts. The first part explores fundamental values and principles, raising questions about the sources of legitimacy and authority, and the content and scope of distributive justice. The second part introduces concepts required to understand and assess the nature, impact and obligations of political actors and institutions, addressing questions of agency and responsibility, and focusing on states, markets and firms. The third part explores current themes in normative political philosophy, including debates on exploitation, just war and the legitimate use of force, and climate change. https://campusonline.uni-bayreuth.de/ubto/wbLv.wbShowLVDetail?pStpSpNr=302025&pSpracheNr=1
