P&E enables students to solve complex problems and support decision making through analytical approach.

But how do corporations and institutions solve complex problems in reality? How did Apple, Google, AirBnB, Uber and IBM manage to become leaders in their fields? The answer is, in addition to analytical methods, they are systematically leveraging other ways to solve complex problems through creativity, collaboration and user-centricity.

Let’s start with creativity, since it is on top of every soft skill list. Why is creativity becoming so important and what does it mean for future decision makes and leaders?

In this seminar we will unpack the term “creativity”, discuss its philosophical roots, meaning and importance. Applying Design Thinking and Google Ventures Design Sprint approaches, we will also explore and experience how to leverage creativity in a systematic way to solve complex problems.

Dr. Iana Kouris is Design Lead at Nokia and holds a Ph.D. on Internet plattforms from RWTH Aachen university. She is a former McKinsey consultant.

Seminar language will be English.
